AstrionTV — IPTV player for Android TV & Fire TV

AstrionTV includes no channels, no streams and no content of any kind. It ships with an empty library and no provider built in. It plays only the playlist you supply yourself, from a source you already have access to. Nothing is bundled, suggested, or hosted here.

There is no account, no sign-up and no telemetry. Your playlist URL and credentials are stored on the device and are never sent anywhere but to your own provider.

Install with Downloader (Fire TV)

The usual route on a Fire TV Stick, and the one that needs no computer.

Install Downloader from the Amazon Appstore if you do not have it.
Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options and turn on Install unknown apps for Downloader. (On older Fire OS this is Apps from Unknown Sources.)
Open Downloader and enter tv.astriondev.com/apk in the URL box.
Let it download, then choose Install. When it finishes you can delete the APK file to save space.
Launch AstrionTV from your apps list and add your playlist on the first screen.

Install with ADB

For Google TV, Shield, or any device where you would rather push from a PC.

adb connect <device-ip>:5555
adb install -r astriontv-0.4.1.apk

-r updates in place from any earlier version and keeps your profiles, favorites and watch history.

What it does

GuideA full XMLTV EPG laid over the playing video, the way a set-top box does it — not a separate screen you get sent to.
Movies & SeriesXtream VOD with posters, episode lists, resume positions and a unified Continue Watching row.
RecordingRecord what is on now, or schedule a programme from the guide. Saves to the device or a USB drive.
Multi-ScreenTwo or four channels at once in a grid. Audio follows whichever tile you are focused on.
Sports, Search, FavoritesKeyword-matched sports categories, one search across channels, programmes and VOD, and favorites that survive a playlist refresh.

Before you install

This is an early build. AstrionTV is developed and tested against an automated suite, and 0.4.1 is the first release published here. Expect rough edges on hardware and playlists it has not met yet. It is offered as-is, with no warranty.

It is not on Google Play or the Amazon Appstore, so it will not auto-update — check back here for new versions.
